Holds Town Hall, Listens to Constituent Concerns, and Highlights Work on Behalf of New Mexicans

New Mexico – U.S. Senator Ben Ray Luján (D-N.M.) concluded a series of events across New Mexico this week, holding a town hall in Taos and meeting with health care providers, business leaders, and educators to listen to their concerns and highlight efforts to reverse the devastating cuts made to programs New Mexicans rely on in the Republicans’ Budget Betrayal.

This week, Senator Luján traveled to Taos, Santa Fe, Española, and Albuquerque to speak directly with New Mexicans about the issues impacting them and to reaffirm his commitment to protecting the vital programs that thousands of New Mexico families, children, seniors, and communities rely on.

“From business leaders to educators to medical providers, this week I had the pleasure of meeting with many New Mexicans who are being impacted by decisions being made in Washington. This week, traveling across Northern and Central New Mexico, one thing was clear: the cuts in the Republicans’ Budget Betrayal will make life harder for New Mexicans,” said Senator Luján.

“I heard from medical providers who are worried they won’t be able to provide health care for their communities, school administrators that are worried kids will go hungry, and concerned constituents who have been betrayed by the promise of lower prices.
