Luján: 24 Years Later, We Stand United in Remembrance of Those We Lost On 9/11

Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Ben Ray Luján (D-N.M.) issued the following statement on the 24th anniversary of the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001:

“Our nation was forever changed on September 11, 2001 by the horrific terrorist attacks that claimed thousands of innocent lives in New York, Pennsylvania, and Washington, D.C. Twenty-four years later, we continue to honor the memory of those we lost and the bravery of the first responders and bystanders who rushed toward danger to save others.

“As a nation, we stand united in remembrance of those who were taken from us and in recognition of the thousands who answered the call of service in the aftermath of 9/11. Even in our darkest hours, the American spirit endures through courage and strength.

“Today and always, we honor our promise to never forget our fellow Americans.”
