Luján Statement on Trump Administration’s Failure to Release All Epstein Files

Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Ben Ray Luján (D-N.M.) issued the following statement after the Department of Justice refused to release the full Epstein files:

“Today is the deadline for the Trump administration and the Department of Justice to release all of the documents related to the Epstein files. The DOJ was given sufficient time to properly review and redact information pertaining to the privacy of the victims in order to make the files available to the public and to brief Congress.

“President Trump’s failure to release the full report only impedes long-awaited justice for Epstein’s victims and further implicates this administration in a cover-up. This administration must follow the law and release all of the files immediately.”

Senators Luján and Merkley introduced the Epstein Files Transparency Act earlier this year to ensure full transparency for the American people, accountability for those involved with Epstein, and justice for victims.
