Luján Statement Commemorating Veterans Day

Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Ben Ray Luján (D-N.M.) issued the following statement to commemorate Veterans Day:

“On Veterans Day, we come together and honor New Mexico’s proud legacy of service, and to pay tribute to the brave men and women who took an oath to protect our nation. Today, I am proud to join our nation to honor the men and women who wear the uniform, and the heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice. To every veteran and military family: thank you.

“Our service members have stood on the front lines to protect our democracy and safeguard our way of life. We must ensure they receive the care, respect, and support they deserve. I remain committed to fighting for our veterans in New Mexico and across the nation — to make sure they have the resources and support they need when they return home.”
