Luján Votes to Confirm Michael Regan as EPA Administrator

Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Ben Ray Luján (D-N.M.) issued the following statement after the Senate voted to confirm Michael Regan as Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA):

“With the climate crisis glaring before us, the EPA must be guided by a leader who will restore the role of science at the Agency and prioritize clean air and clean water in our communities. As a longtime public servant and environmental expert, Michael Regan will help ensure that the EPA decisions are guided by science and will promote environmental justice,” said Luján. “I look forward to working with Administrator Regan to address the climate crisis and protect the health and well-being of New Mexicans.”
