Luján Votes to Confirm Isabel Guzman as SBA Administrator

Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Ben Ray Luján (D-N.M.) issued the following statement after voting to confirm Isabel Guzman as the 27th Administrator of the Small Business Administration (SBA).

“The next SBA Administrator must meet the challenge of helping small business owners rebuild and recover from the pandemic. Just as importantly, she must ensure that the resources provided by Congress are distributed equitably,” said Luján. “Isabel Guzman has the necessary experience and expertise to meet this challenge. In California, she oversaw the state’s $500 million small business COVID relief program, which she leveraged to support the businesses and communities hit hardest by the pandemic. I look forward to working with Administrator Guzman to make sure that New Mexico’s small businesses survive and thrive.”
